SPEAKER RESUME
|
Professional Geologist, and former evolutionist, Dave D'Armond is a frequent speaker on a wide variety of Creation science topics. For the last 15 years he has also conducted hands-on science workshops for K-6, 7-12, and adults in conjunction with the “Good Science” curriculum from the Institute for Creation Research. Last year, during a reorganization of its assets, ICR transferred complete ownership of the "Good Science" curriculum to Dave, making him the primary source of this acclaimed hands-on science curriculum. He is also a member of the Midwest Creation Fellowship speaker’s bureau. Additionally, he recently completed the Answers in Genesis Creation College II.

Mr. D’Armond grew up near Eugene, Oregon and pursued scientific training in mathematics and geology, receiving his BS degree in Geology from the University of Oregon. He has also completed an MBA degree with honors from Illinois Benedictine University.

While pursuing his studies, he designed and taught a course in geology and evolution for gifted children. Later he worked in exploration field geology for heavy and precious metal deposits for the U.S. Geological Survey.

In 1971, following service as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, he represented the education unit of IT&T Corporation, presenting programs for high school students. He is currently a professional geologist with an environmental engineering company.

December of 1973 saw his conversion to Christ. In 1975, he became convinced, after much study, that the evolutionary theory of origins was neither provable nor scientifically valid, and that the Creation account in Genesis was scientifically much superior as a record of the beginnings of the universe and life.

Mr. D’Armond has published articles on Scientific Creation and has been speaking throughout the Midwestern states. He conducts lectures and seminars for churches, youth groups, home schoolers, community organizations and radio programs. Powerpoint presentations include topics such as geology, the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, the fossil record, age of the earth, creation vs. evolution, science and Genesis, Noah’s Flood, the Ark, dinosaurs, cavemen, and the Ice Age.

Dave conducts hands-on science workshops for all ages, making science enjoyable, teaching students how to think creatively and critically, while seeing the attributes of God demonstrated in science and nature (Rom. 1:20).
